Shang Jong Parker LOSES the 2022 U.S. Midterm Elections eitherway

Supreme Leader Shang Jong Parker LOSES the 2022 U.S. midterm elections either way!

November 8, 2022, American democracy is on the line, but so is Shang Jong Parker's place in Chawosauria, because during the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Parker meddled by endorsing Joe Biden over Donald Trump openly while his predecessors have kept their opinions on American politics to themselves. The moment Parker endorsed Biden, everybody knew that Parker was playing a risky gamble because if Trump wins reelection, that would've not looked good for Parker politically.

Everybody had an idea of who then Supreme Leader Abooksigun Eluwilussit was for in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and when Hillary Clinton lost unexpectedly, it did not look good for Supreme Leader Eluwilussit politically and he was up for election in December 2016. He was defeated by a Green named Malina Lusa Parker (no relation to Shang Jong Parker). Still, Supreme Leader Malina Lusa Parker was assassinated in February 2017 and was briefly succeeded by Oconostota Eluwilussit, Abooksigun Eluwilussit's son, till Oconostota was replaced by his maternal uncle, Degotoga K. Atagulkalu, who reigned Chawosauria as Supreme Leader from February 2017 to his death on March 3, 2019, replaced by the uninspiring Ekewaka Mikala Kalawai'a who ended up losing bad to Shang Jong Parker in the 2019 Chawosaurian direct election.

During the 2018 U.S. midterm elections, it really wasn't a secret which party Supreme Leader Degotoga K. Atagulkalu supported, and even though he wasn't very popular in Chawosauria because of the grinding civil war and Chawosaurian Revolution lagging on and on, the Democrats won control of the U.S. House of Representatives on a gain of 41 seats, the party's largest house gain since the post-Watergate 1970s, and the Democrats gained ground throughout the United States. That was one of the main silver lining for the Atagulkalu administration.

But Abooksigun Eluwilussit and Degotoga K. Atagulkalu never openly said they're commenting on American politics during their respective reigns during the late 2010s, thus maintaining the tradition of geopolitical neutrality. By 2018, it was clear that Degotoga K. Atagulkalu had a far better American election result than his brother-in-law Abooksigun Eluwilussit in 2016.

When Antonio Kingston was Supreme Leader from 2011 to his death in 2015, Kingston barely commented on Brazilian politics at all. Kingston would be dead by the time Jair Bolsonaro, the "Trump of the Tropics" was elected President of Brazil in the 2018 Brazilian election, which was ignored entirely by Supreme Leader Degotoga K. Atagulkalu. During the Timothy Max Roosevelt days, Supreme Leader Timothy Max Roosevelt had a general distaste for all Presidents of the United States from both parties because of the Cold War, Supreme Leader Roosevelt, a communist, favored the Soviet Union until its downfall in 1991, Timothy Max Roosevelt was Supreme Leader during three most talked about historic U.S. midterm elections, 1994 under Clinton (Republican Revolution), 2006 under Bush (backlash against the War in Iraq), and 2010 under Obama (the 'Tea Party' wave).

The only time Supreme Leader Johnathan Alexandria commented on Spanish politics was the Spanish Civil War.

Supreme Leader Kalawai'a is not from the UK nor had he ever lived there, but enforced the policy of geopolitical neutrality in the 2019 UK general election between Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn, the "British Bernie Sanders", that move by Kalawai'a to stay out proved to be smart because Corbyn lost in one of the most humiliating showings in a British general election, winning only 202 seats to Johnson's 365 seats, well above the 326 seat threshold for a majority in the lower house of the British Parliament.

But now, Shang Jong Parker is Supreme Leader of the Empire of Chawosauria since January 1, 2020, and he had made comments on American politics, though Parker wasn't from the U.S., he just lives there. Parker is not identified with neither the Democrats or the Republicans. In Chawosauria, Parker identifies with the Chawosaurian Communist Party and Parker is ideologically a communist but a moderate communist.

Shang Jong Parker broke the tradition of geopolitical neutrality by openly endorsing former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden over the incumbent Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, and that was a pretty risky gamble, President Trump could upset the polls once again as he did in 2016 and win a second term, as Chawopolis Palace insiders feared, because of Biden's own flaws, being a gaffe machine, his highly advanced age, and a lacking of a progressive agenda. But Biden winning the election against Trump helped Parker avoid political embarrassment ...or did it?

The United States will be holding midterm elections on November 8, 2022, to determine the next Congress of the United States, which is the national legislature of the U.S. if foreign and ...some American... audiences are unfamiliar. In the 2020 election in America, not only Biden won the White House as a Democrat, but the Democratic Party won just only slender majorities in both chambers of Congress, a slim majority in the House of Representatives of 222-213, and a 50-50 Senate that required the Vice President of the United States as part of the role as President of the Senate to break ties in the Senate by casting a vote also, and because the White House is under Democrat control, the Senate, through the tie-breaking power of the Vice President and the Vice President is hand chosen by the President, is under Democratic control. This situation gives Democrats control of Washington.

Midterm elections do not end in a pretty result for the President of the United States; in 2018, Trump lost 41 seats to the Democrats in the House of Representatives despite the Senate on lucky turf, but that 41-seat loss suffered by Trump cost him control of the House of Representatives, President Obama in 2010 suffered an even dramatic midterm defeat, losing 63 seats plus control of the House of Representatives and Obama's hand in the Senate was weakened by a 6-seat loss, but not enough to lose the Senate. So, you get the idea, Biden, with such narrow majorities in Congress, can see both the House and the Senate flip easily to the Republicans that they don't need a wave.

If Republicans win control of Congress, not only it's a hollow defeat for Biden, but it's also a defeat for Parker, Shang Jong Parker preferred Biden in the 2020 presidential election, therefore he owns what he wishes for, and that itself would be a political embarrassment that will teach Parker the importance of valuing geopolitical neutrality, but it seems like he learned it earlier, because Parker was noticeably silent on the 2022 Brazilian general election, which is seen by many as the Brazilian version of the 2020 American presidential election, because as mentioned above, President Jair Bolsonaro was called "the Trump of the Tropics" and like his American counterpart, Bolsonaro was defeated by the leftist former President Luiz Inacio de Silva, commonly known as Lula, who many would call the Bernie Sanders of the Tropics. When Bolsonaro lost, there were fears that he would try to dethrone the results and try to stay in power like Trump tried to do but to no avail, but Bolsonaro decided not to while walking a fine line between that and not recognizing Lula as president-elect.

But, there may be signs that Democrats could pull off an upset in the 2022 midterm elections. The Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe v. Wade which for 49 years had guaranteed women of the United States the nationwide right to an abortion, that move by the U.S. Supreme Court to take that right away didn't turned up to be very popular with the American general public and certainly not with the American electorate, the traditionally anti-abortion Republican Party saw their midterm prospects threatened by the post-Roe regime as more women and Generation Z Americans registering to vote in droves, which spelled luck for the traditionally pro-abortion Democratic Party, and the overturning of Roe made Independent voters become more questioning of the Republicans' hawkish anti-abortion stances even against the backdrop of post-Roe incidents of an 11-year-old rape victim who became pregnant and her family had to drive her out of state to another to escape that state's abortion ban and a pregnant woman discovered her child had no skull but she was denied an abortion by the state. The result was U.S. house special elections turning up good for Democrats, with those Democrats losing in traditionally Republican districts by weirdly close margins and two Democratic upsets in New York's 19th congressional district and Alaska's whole congressional district and an anti-abortion ballot initiative failing by a wide margin in a red state. This forced Republicans to back off from their hawkish anti-abortion stances for more moderate stances that are still not close to being pro-abortion.

This would make you think that it'd be a victory for Parker, right? Well no! If Democrats win the midterm elections, then this could foreshadow the opposition against Parker winning the 2024 Chawosaurian midterm elections, and in Chawosauria, the first midterm election goes the opposite direction, in favor of the Supreme Leader. In 1905, Supreme Leader Johnathan Alexandria's liberal friends gained over 300 seats in the Chawopolis Palace, in 1979, Supreme Leader Timothy Max Roosevelt saw his communist party gain 81 seats, and Supreme Leader Degotoga K. Atagulkalu was able to help the anti-communists win a supermajority in the Chawopolis Palace in a coalition in 2017.

If Democrats win the midterm elections under a Democratic White House, that could mean Parker's enemies could win Chawosauria's own midterm election in 2024 too. This is weird to say, but American midterm elections are seen as bellwethers of a Chawopolis Palace election. In 1978, Democratic President Jimmy Carter lost seats in Congress, but these losses were too lenient for Carter to lose control of Congress, and Timothy Max Roosevelt wasn't too concerned and he turned out to be right not to be concerned because his 1979 gains were more lenient than his predecessor's 1905 gains. Carter suffered lenient losses, and Timothy Max Roosevelt had lenient gains. Do you get it?

But if Democrats still lose the midterm elections because of public frustration with inflation and the public's distaste for Biden, then it's in some way a victory for Parker because Democratic losses suffered by Biden in 2022 will mean Communist gains for Parker in 2024. But it's not to say Democratic victories won't be a victory for Parker entirely, because it will mean Parker's past support for Biden wasn't wasted policy.

Either way, Shang Jong Parker has little to gain from the 2022 U.S. midterm elections no matter the result.
