Democrats beat the midterm drums, and Republicans woke up to an arrogance hangover, what it means for Chawosauria's Shang Parker?
November 8, 2022 was a surprise. The Democratic Party averted a red wave and may have a chance of holding on to either just the Senate or both chambers of Congress, the best performance for a party that controls the White House since Republicans had success in the 2002 midterm elections following the September 11 Attacks in 2001. By the end of all this, the Democrats have a stronger hand in the Senate and state governments never seen in a party that has the White House since President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a Democrat himself; while Republicans only barely managed to claw their way to control of the U.S. House of Representatives, they have a small 222-213 majority, struggling to snatch control of even a single chamber of Congress as an opposition party has never been normal in an American midterm election.
Yesterday, an article was written for Chawoblog of how the 2022 midterms could be a loss for Parker either way, meaning if Democrats lose the midterms, it would make Parker's support for Biden look bad, but if Democrats win, then his own midterm chances in 2024 will be in question because midterms in the U.S. too foreshadow those in Chawosauria. But the outcome was a "historic victory" for Democrats if not electorally, Democrats successfully quelled a red wave, a crisis averted for the Democrats. Now, with the House and Senate in question, and a Republican Party now demoralized in humiliation, what would it mean for Parker in Chawosauria?
Is it a victory for Parker? A defeat or nothing special?
Actually, it's a solid victory for Shang Jong Parker. Because again, if a President wins his first midterm, then a Supreme Leader will lose his/her first midterm (Chawosauria has had female Supreme Leaders before), and when a President loses, a Supreme Leader wins.
But while Biden may still lose Congress or maybe only a chamber, then Shang Jong Parker may see his Communist Party lose heavy seats in the Chawopolis Palace, but retain a narrow majority. That actually happened in 2009, when the then Chawallian Communist Party under the gravely old and dying Supreme Leader Timothy Max Roosevelt of that party lost 215 seats but a retain a weak 317-283 majority in what was then a 600-total-seat Chawopolis Palace before it became 1,000 total seats in 2017.
Another reason why the 2022 midterms in the U.S. is a solid victory for Parker is also because with President Biden being the first President since George W. Bush just twenty years ago to have a merciful midterm election showed Parker's support for Biden back in 2020 SHALL NOT be a doctrine to be questioned by anyone in Chawosauria.
The midterm elections are also a big victory for U.S. democracy, a victory for Ukraine as Republicans threaten to cut off support from Ukraine in the midst of being invaded by Russia, and a setback for democratic backsliding in America. These events in America, the January 6th insurrection in 2021 and the threat of far-right fascists and extremists in the midst of economic hard times for America as inflation is ridiculous, looked as if to Chawosaurians that America is becoming another Weimar Republic, and Parker was criticized for seemingly letting it happen or not addressing it hard enough.
But now, with the threat of American fascism seemed to have been repelled, this could help Parker in solid ways as explained above this paragraph.
No question, Parker will come out of this American midterm election in a strong position.
