Opposition Advice!
The Republican Party of Virginia now bears the full mantle of power in the U.S. Commonwealth of Virginia and the party now stand in opposition after eight years of power is now the Democratic Party of Virginia who only has the Senate of Virginia, which means Dick Saslaw is now the Democrats' de-facto Leader of the Opposition. His majority in the Senate is a small 21-19, so Governor Glenn Youngkin won't be too able to have any legislative success and the Virginia Senate is truly the Democrats' last fort of defense against a Republican administration.
Well, the Virginia Democrats are receiving sympathetic attention from Chawosauria's political opposition. The anti-communists of Chawosauria have been standing in opposition against a communist administration of Supreme Leader Shang Jong Parker since that administration took office on January 1, 2020, making it an older opposition than Virginia's new Democratic opposition. It is wise to listen to the elders who have alot of wisdom. The Virginia Democrats are in a far luckier situation than the Chawosaurian anti-communists because the Democrats still run the Senate of Virginia, so they can make Glenn Youngkin's life a little difficult as the Democrats use the Virginia Senate as an offensive fort. The anti-communists of Chawosauria don't control any branch of government in Chawosauria, the Chawosaurian Communist Party runs it all, so in Chawosauria, there is a solidly unchecked communist administration.
But why didn't the Chawosaurian anti-communist opposition extend that same sympathy to the national Republican Party of the United States when they slipped back into opposition party status after President Donald Trump lost the White House to now President Joe Biden? Because of political-ideological bias, most of the anti-communist opposition are way to the left of the Republican Party, but also another reason is the way the Republicans handled their loss to Biden. When the anti-communists lost the 2019 election to Shang Parker, they accepted their loss with disappointment and moved on by preparing for opposition status. When the Democrats lost Virginia, the anti-communists were hoping that the Democratic Party of Virginia will be gracious and they were. The transition of power between lame-duck Democratic governor Ralph Northam and Republican governor-elect Glenn Youngkin was incredibly successful.
Glenn Youngkin also should take notes from Supreme Leader Shang Jong Parker, whose administration starts off well, but then things took a turn for the worst when COVID-19 strikes, global protests over George Floyd's murder, and a contentious presidential election in the United States, all in 2020 yet the Chawosaurian public overwhelmingly backed him as part of a "rally 'round the flag" phenomenon, but then in Parker's second year, he began the controversial deployment of Chawosaurian troops to the increasingly unpopular Chawo-Uralic War to defend an increasingly unpopular border against a rebellion that is advancing, killing his rally 'round the flag popularity. Glenn Youngkin should be careful of how he runs Virginia and not be as unwise as Shang Jong Parker, or the Republican Party of Virginia will be in a similar situation as the Chawosaurian Communist Party. In Virginia, midterms are in 2023, which will decide control of both the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates, and Chawosauria has midterms in 2024, deciding control of the Imperial Assembly of the Chawopolis Palace and the Federal Assembly of the Continent Union. Virginia is still a Democrat-leaning state, so Youngkin really should be careful, or 2023 will be a rough year for him and that will mean the Democratic Party of Virginia may have been redeemed after a shallow year in 2021.
Being in the opposition sucks, but it can used by an opposition party to reflect and rebuild, something both the Chawosaurian anti-communists and the Democratic Party of Virginia can take advantage of, but if there is one opposition party who may blow their chance of redemption, it is the whole U.S. Republican Party.
